Cyrial Oakes

Born 1900 Sydenham London,
died 9th September 1939 Gosnells Western Australia.

Cyrial married Agnes Murray on the 9th June 1926 in Caspicua, Malta. Malta was were Cyrial server in the Army, there is no record of Cyrial and Agnes taking up land in the settlements; however, they are in Rosina's and Hilda's wedding photo's so they were in Australia in time for the 1st wedding in December 1926.

By 1935 Cyril and Agnes were living in Gosnells, I can remember they had a very large rose garden leading up to the front door. Uncle Cyrial lived there up to his death in 1939 aged 39.

Cyrial and Agnes had 5 children:

• Margaret born in 1929 at Karridale;
• Ida Fransis born in 1930 at Margaret River;
• Alan (stillborn) in 1931;
• Robert Albert born in 1935; he was killed in Adelaide 1957; and
• Gordon Alan born in 1937 at Gosnells.
